Students begin by working closely with their academic consultant to create a Personalized Action Plan. This plan outlines their educational goals, intended major, and career interests. This plan includes creating a college list and setting specific milestones to meet deadlines. It serves as a roadmap to help students stay focused and on track. They can maintain a clear direction by regularly reviewing and updating their plans throughout the process.
We highly recommend beginning this stop for students in 7th grade to build a foundation of confidence and positive habits necessary for high school and college success. This stop aims to improve academic performance by teaching students effective study techniques, note-taking strategies, organizational skills, and time management. Additionally, tutoring is also offered for students who need extra help in certain subjects.
This stop allows students to explore their interests and strengths through one-to-one career coaching and aptitude testing. Aptitude testing involves a series of assessments designed to evaluate a student's natural abilities and skills in various areas. These tests help identify potential career paths by measuring competencies such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity. Students can make more informed decisions and identify potential career paths by understanding their innate abilities.
At this stop we support students in developing effective study methods for standardized test taking to enhance their performance. This includes helping them understand the test format, improve their time, and engage in targeted practice. We also offer guidance and resources for mock testing between testing cycles. This builds familiarity, boosts confidence, and contributes to higher scores - ultimately strengthening their college admission prospects. We can refer students to trusted test prep partners who specialize in PSAT, SAT, and ACT testing.
Students receive support in every aspect of the college application process—from building a strong college list to writing creative standout essays, developing resumes, and reviewing applications for quality and completeness. This step ensures that each component of the application is polished and error-free, making a strong first impression.
